I've Got the Power!

I've got the power! We all have the power to write our own story. We all have the power to create out path under our given circumstances. Having power over ourselves is greater and more rewarding than having power over others ever will be.

Your greatest power is choosing how to respond to things that are not withing your power. You have power over your emotions and reactions.

I have felt powerless most of my life. What I didn't realize was how much of my power I was giving to others. I let kids who were popular and thought themselves better than me and others, make me feel that I was inferior. I didn't know that I had the power and choice not to conclude these feelings. I had the power and choice to believe in myself and my worth regardless of how others treated me or thought of me. As an adult, those childish popularity, egotistical games don't go away. Yet, neither does the fact that I have the power to believe I am worthy regardless of how much better the Jones' think they are. The popular, the bullies, the powers-that-be, only have the power that we give them. If we stop giving them our power keep it to ourselves to do good, they would not have the power to do harm.

From childhood circles to adult circles, the game is still the same. We have the power to change the rules of this ugly cycle and use power for uplifting and helping humanity instead of for controlling humanity for personal greed and selfish agendas. The change begins with you. Stand in your power. Take back what is yours. Use your power in a way that honors you and the world around you.
